This one-of-a-kind piece is composed of 90 individually cut pieces of figured walnut, maple, blue pine, aspen, poplar, sycamore, lignum vitae, cherry, katalox, Brazilian cherry, redheart, and Osage orange. Each piece was carefully cut by hand on a scroll saw, then individually shaped, sanded, and finished to create depth, movement, and lifelike detail.
No stains, paints, or dyes were used—every color you see comes from the natural beauty of the wood itself.

I use a clear satin varnish that offers UV protection for a protective coating that protects against fading; however it is the nature of wood to change color over time. It's best to keep any wood product out of direct sunlight to preserve the colors longer.
