Created in honor of our nation’s upcoming 250th Anniversary, “America the Beautiful” is a celebration of the landscapes, freedoms, and enduring spirit that define the United States. Inspired by the timeless lyrics of America the Beautiful, this original design brings together “purple mountain majesties”, amber waves of grain”, “spacious skies”, “fruited plain”, “shining seas”, and the majestic bald eagle — America’s enduring symbol of strength and freedom.
This one-of-a-kind handcrafted intarsia artwork and first piece produced by the original designer consists of 647 individually cut and shaped pieces, meticulously assembled to create depth, movement, and lifelike dimension. Every color visible in the piece comes directly from the natural beauty of the wood itself — no stains, paints, or dyes were used.
Each piece was cut by hand on a scroll saw, individually shaped and sanded, then carefully assembled and finished to showcase the unique character, grain, and color of the wood.
